This is a totally pointless comment, but for some reason I am moved to make it. When you talk about the Mothman movie (which I have never seen), you compare it to Blair Witch b/c of the wesite full of "phony folklore." Actually, the whole Mothman myth is real, in that it is an actual suburban legend down in some inbred West-Virginian town. I met some weird little bug-eyed kid at a bar in Pittsburgh who had grown up in said town, and he told me all about the legend of the Mothman--although I can't remember a damn thing about it except that it took place on some abandoned army base and that the town-folk thought that the Mothman was the result of some sort of evil military experiments. And now that I've proved that you are completely wrong, I can go back to eating my Lucky Charms. --bec.
becca / 2002-07-13 21:30:21Wouldn't it be ironical if this post turned out to be part of the marketing scheme by the Hollywood puppettmasters to create more "internet buzz" about the validity of the Mothman? - er0ck
er0ck / 2003-03-10 00:35:04Dismissal of the "Mothman myth" is an excercise in typical northern effete pseudointellectual eltist snobbery. Of course "Mothman" is a myth. Myths are propagated, at some point, by some grain of truth and usually evolve into some form of fantastic folk lore that are given life in cheap cinema. What IS ironic is that most of the incestual offspring, such as all of you, that I have unfortunately come into contact with, have been excrement from north of the Mason Dixon.~Usu Daemon~
your name / 2003-05-08 23:12:26I love anyone who uses the word effete right beside pseudointellectual, now THAT is irony. Anyhow, the rest of your post was retarded, but that part, awesome.
