oh, andrew. i know that you bust on ANTM because you love. i'm sorry to hear that you're feeling poorly. the models are thinking of you. you might (might) be interested to know that that girl who wouldn't cut her hair also said that she was going back to the world of beauty pageants, where you actually learn to be a good person/woman as opposed to modeling, where it's all about who you are on the outside (or similar).
kristin / 2005-11-17 15:46:46Andrew! ANTM is da bomb! I watch it purely to laugh at the wannabe models. Because the stereotype of beauty with NO brains is sooo true. I remember a couple of seasons ago where the Tyra Mail read "be ready at the crack of dawn" and all the models were scurrying about, worrying and whining- "When is the crack of dawn? What is that? The crack of dawn? Is that like, noon?". Good stuff man.
zoot / 2005-11-17 15:55:07Andrew, you got it all wrong. The girl who went home was a hack, I will give you that--and to be fair to the facts, she had a previous haircut that involved about 2 feet of beauty pageant hair. She just didn't want to part with the last 2 inches--oh, I mean "her integrity." She was a damn hack. But secondly, what you are watching is a rare glimpse into a professional society of elites, in training. To learn the subtleties (I probably misspelled that) of how to walk takes a true master. We are all just low animals, jerky puppets on a string, whilst the Modeles (fake vaguely European spelling) transcend our mortal coil or whatever and elevate the human body to an art form, flawlessly bored as they may be with the plebes. The Apprentice dudes are still the dumbest on earth. Except for Jim on MSO. He pulls the strings.
Rebecca / 2005-11-17 17:19:18Oh man yes, Jim on the Apprentice MSO is my favourite person on tv right now. The first episode I was just like "haha this guy is a nut, he'll be first out" but then he never got kicked off, and I just love him more and more every episode. Did you see his face last week when Martha said "so the other team beat you" and he did this crazy "GRR I AM ANGRY" weird thing, that they replayed on last night's episode? Man that was awesome.
andrew / 2005-11-17 18:00:14Why?
Foongus / 2005-11-17 18:35:38"why" isn't much of a comment is it?
andrew / 2005-11-17 18:45:20America's Next Top Model what? I wonder. Top Model T Ford? Top Model Airplane? Those gals really have got to learn a thing or 5. You could probably give 'em a run for their money if you played your cards right. Or, even, if you played cards at all with them. They don't strike me as poker types. and, re. haircuts... um, obviously, you would beat that girl. with big styx, simply because you don't have emotional attachment to your hair, like she does. Some people!
pansycline / 2005-11-18 02:51:24Honey you sound like me talking about Survivor! But the real deal is, I am a beautiful woman, however I don't think for one second I could model. It's alot more hard work than it looks. I have watched every season of the show and therefore so has my boyfriend. He used to have the same feelings as you, now he's picking out the winners. Before you hate, give it half a chance, then think about your sisters, cousins and what your momma went through. Tyra is giving some of these sisters, cousin's and yes MOMMA'S a chance and some confidence. You have to get there somehow.. You don't sound like a woman, so I can't expect you to understand why ANTM is going to have a 6th season, and is branching of into a Canadain version, or should I really let you being a man be an excuse.
Raine / 2005-11-24 03:01:02Hello Andrew, I compliment you on the clear-mindedness that went into the formation of your Diaryland website. It's the most user-friendly I've found. Congratulations!
