Well, it's about 6 in the morning. I woke up an hour and a half ago (from about 3 hours of sleep, if that. My body hates me and behaves very meanly) and I spent about an hour messing around with my drum machine and my new guitar effect thing. It was fun rocking times, although everytime I play with a drum machine lately I realize that my rhythm is very very lopsided. I blame it on the drum machine being a trickster though. We all know how tricky and mishievous drum machines are, always playing with our minds!
I did some web-going just now and it turns out that this band I like, the Rheostatics, have some new stuff out I didn't know about, namely an album and accompanying kid's book. Lately that happens all the time to me. I only found out about the new Matthew Sweet and Blue Mountain CDs by seeing them in the store. I don't keep up on any music news lately at all, so I kind of wonder what else I've missed. Haha, I just found a quote on some Rheostatics site where the drummer from RUSH calls them "Canada'a answer to R.E.M. only without an attitude". Oh yeah, you know R.E.M., always running around trashing hotel rooms, starting feuds with Oasis, etc. I mean I guess you can't blame this guy for saying it, he's the drummer for RUSH, so he's obviously mentally challenged, but I mean come on.
Oh I forgot if I mentioned before, but I got a pager this week and I've been messing with it all weekend. Tonight I had it all set up so my normal phone would forward to it while I was doing some errands and I ended up messing it up and missing a call about a thing I was going to go to but didn't really want to, but now I am all mad at the telephone system anyway. Plus I'm all paranoid about maybe missing some call I've been waiting for for the past few days, man I am the absolute worst at that, I always get worried about that stuff, cause I know that noone I know ever leaves messages, the knobs.
This is especially boring eh? It was a slow saturday. And now it's shaping up to be a slow Sunday, but maybe I'll buy pants!
