Soak your toe in vinegar every day for a while, to help that. Or drop a bit of tea tree oil on it. I am the authority on these things, as my diary url suggests.
Fungus / 2007-02-08 13:15:14no no, all you need is yeast infection cream, i promise, it works. yeast infections and toenail infections are both fungal infections. i had the same thing on my toenail and put yeast infection cream on it twice a day, it was gone in two weeks and never came back. it was the pharmacist at the drugstore who told me to do this.
michelle / 2007-02-08 16:24:26I read in a holistic healthcare book one time that to get rid of yeast infections all you need to do is get your own speculum, open wide, and toss some yogurt in there. So maybe yogurt for toes, too, who knows. I'd go for peach flavored, myself. I mean, if my toes had to smell like a yogurt flavor, best be peach.
craige / 2007-02-09 00:18:07Ha, I also read though somewhere that eating sugar can lead to the infections (NO clue whatsoever whether this was mumbo jumbo or not though), so sugary yogurt might not be good. Probably plain yogurt. But I am not really worried, cause I had only a small dark spot, and it came off easily when I clipped the nail. It wasn't some nasty infection I am scared about or anything whatsoever. Man people who read my diary know a lot about this though haha, I got some emails too!
andrew / 2007-02-09 00:52:38But my advice uses natural lovelies. NATURAL.
Fungus / 2007-02-09 17:19:06Oh I know, if I did anything I'd probably try the vinegar, but I don't really need it since it's not a huge issue and pretty much gone for me. I also heard about someone who shined a UV light on his toe for a few hours a day for a few weeks and said that fixed a problem he had for many years. Kinda interesting.
Andrew / 2007-02-09 17:27:13I'm kinda still stuck on "get your own speculum" and "toss"
