I've developed this new game in the past couple of weeks: Don't throw any extra food scraps in the garbage, throw them in the toilet! Awesome game eh? I like to leave unused foodstuffs soaking in water for a few hours to see what happens to them, what can I say.
Today I threw some pita bread that I didn't finish in the toilet. I ripped it up a bit first because it was pretty tough and thick. Since I created this game I've put in a whole bunch of stuff, including cake crumbs, stale cookies, mayonnaise, and yesterday's coup de grace: 2 week old salmon/mayo paste with old cookies (chocolate, sprinkled with super delicious sugar powder stuff) and some ketchup chip scraps. I left that in there for a few hours and know what? It made bubbles appear in the water! I think maybe the sugary powder on the cookies did that or something.
Anyway, I'm just saying: Why just throw your excess food out when most of it can be played with and put into the sewer system? Added bonus: the lingering feeling of guilt that literally flushing good food down the toilet gives you may trick you into thinking you have a conscience, which is a good self-esteem booster!
