I just sat here for literally 2 WHOLE MINUTES trying to think of something to write, but nothing really came to mind. I spend my days doing very boring things, mostly involving typing, putting food into my mouth or murder.
Did you know there was a war going on? It's a fact! I'm pretty on the fence about the whole thing*, like most people, I'm waiting to read a few more diaryland members area banners to really make up my mind, but I saw the greatest thing today, and I just looked it up online and I can't find it anywhere, but anyhow on CNN they showed a flier the british are dropping in certain areas, hoping to get the iraqi people to rise up, and it has a little cartoon of I think a british army guy and an iraqi citizen standing beside each other smiling.. I could be remembering that part wrong, but the main thing was the slogan, it says "We won't abandon you again". I think that is so amazing, it's sort of brilliant, I can't think of a better way to really convince someone that you're telling the truth than to say something that makes you look so incredibly bad that there's no way you could be lying. It probably does work pretty well too, I mean what can they really say other than that, it's not really like anyone who rose up against Saddam's regime 10 years ago has forgotten that whole mess anyway (or is alive).
I think whoever wrote that pamphlet has a bright future waiting for them when the war's over, in the greeting card industry, that's the kind of refreshing straightforwardness I think could really boost a smart company's sales. "I won't sleep with other people again", etc.
Anyhow that's all. Oh anyone who is an expert at DVD Studio Pro or Final Cut Pro email me, I am messing around with those and trying to do something and can't figure it out.
Oh extra thing too: I have really been liking the Jimmy Kimmel show lately, it's worth watching, especially if you like really painful and awkward conversations with Mike Tyson, this week's guest host, cause I just watched 5 minutes of it, and that's how it's going so far, ouch, so painful.
p.s. Also someone from the US military was quoted today about the fact no Iraqi planes have flown since the war started by saying "if they fly, they die". That guy made me cry, tears came out of my eye, oh me oh my.
* Or at least that's my line since I have a huge percentage of my readers who are from Iraq!
