I was riding my bike today, and my sweet, thick, sassy hair was blowing behind me, due to wind. I went by these 3 young girls, who were hmm.. I don't know, 10 or 12 years old or something, and one of them yelled "get a haircut". That only bugged me because I actually was planning to cut my hair once I got home, which meant that once I did, she won. Anyway, the point of the story: When she said it, I laughed, and then the girls laughed, and it was a nice friendly joke we both enjoyed. This taught me an important lesson about how to deal positively with situations like this, because I looked back afterwards and it really struck me how just a little positivity can make things a lot nicer. "Wow" I thought, "That was a lot more pleasant than if I had shouted back the first thing that came to mind, 'hey little girls, want to come to my house for some candy? I know your mom' ". So there you go, a little lesson on positivity :)
